FAQ

1. What is SDC and what services do you offer?

Scandinavian Data Centers provides secure, high-performance colocation solutions designed for modern digital infrastructure.

We offer scalable colocation, private suites, and build-to-suit data center solutions for enterprises, cloud providers, and AI driven workloads. Our facilities are engineered to support high density computing while minimizing environmental impact through energy efficient design and sustainable operations with a core focus on heat reuse.

2. Where are your data centers located?

SDC data centers are strategically located in Sweden close to Stockholm to provide excellent connectivity, strong data sovereignty, and access to stable, low carbon energy.

Our locations are selected based on power availability, resilience, physical security, and proximity to major network hubs. For details on specific sites, availability, and expansion plans, please contact our sales team.

3. What is colocation and how does it work at SDC?

Colocation allows you to place your own servers and IT equipment in SDC’s secure data center facilities while we provide the physical infrastructure — power, cooling, security, and connectivity.

You retain full ownership and control of your hardware, while benefiting from enterprise grade uptime, redundant power systems, and professional operations without the cost and complexity of running your own data center.

4. How does SDC ensure sustainability and low environmental impact?

Sustainability is a core part of SDC’s design philosophy. Our facilities are built to maximize energy efficiency and minimize carbon footprint through optimized cooling systems, efficient power distribution, and the use of low-carbon or renewable energy sources whilst trying to optimize energy reuse in the form of supporting the district heating network.

5. How secure are SDC’s data centers?

SDC provides multi-layered physical and operational security. This includes controlled site access, perimeter protection, surveillance systems, and strict access procedures. Security operations are supported by trained personnel and aligned with internationally recognized standards, ensuring that customer equipment and data are protected at all times.

6. What connectivity options are available?

SDC offers carrier neutral connectivity with access to multiple network providers. Customers can choose from a range of fiber and interconnection options, enabling low latency connections to clouds, partners, and global networks. This flexibility allows customers to design resilient and cost effective network architectures tailored to their needs.

7. Can SDC support high-density, AI, or HPC workloads?

Yes. SDC facilities are designed to support high-density computing, including AI, machine learning, and HPC workloads. Our infrastructure supports higher rack power densities, advanced cooling solutions, and scalable power delivery to meet the demands of modern compute-intensive applications.

8. Why SDC

SDC offers a scalable and flexible data center platform that supports client driven work flows — from enterprise IT to high density AI. Our infrastructure adapts as your needs evolve, so you can grow without limits or lock-in.

9. Why Sweden?

Sweden offers leading sustainability, reliable governance, and low cost, low carbon power, making it an ideal home for modern digital infrastructure.
